Huawei announces affordable Android phones

Mumbai, Sep 3: The china based mobile equipment manufacturing giant, Huawei, has announced the launch of latest low cost Android based phone.

The new Android based mobile, Ideos, has a 2.8-inch 240x320 touchscreen and 3.2 megapixel camera at the rear. Ideos is powered with a 528 MHz processor.

Ideos will run Android 2.2 and boasts of full HSDPA 7.2Mbps support. The connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and navigation (GPS) support. The memory can be expanded using micro SD card slot.

Huawei is focussing the youths, who are in search of an Android smartphone in affordable price. The Ideos will be an affordable phone with all features of an expensive smartphone. It is expected to hit Indian markets by Nov 2010 and will be priced around Rs 4,600.
