YS Jaganmohan Reddy
Kadapa, Sep 3: After halting for a day on Thursday, Sep 2 to pay tribute to his father on his first death anniversary, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, son of late former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, resumed his controversial Odarpu Yatra on Friday, Sep 3.

The Congress MP has left for Prakasam district from his family estate at Idupulapaya here to resume his yatra, which has invited the ire of the Congress high command.

On his way to Giddaluru in Prakasam, Jagan stopped at Porumamilla to unveil a statue of his later father, YSR.

“You are blessing me like your own brother or son. Can anyone say that our beloved leader Y S Rajasekhara Reddy is no more? He lives in your hearts. He has given me a huge family that comprises all of you. I am thankful to your love and affection," he told his supporters.

Defying the Congress high command, Jagan has already completed his consolation yatra, in West Godavari, Khammam, Srikakulam and East Godavari districts.

Jagan's Odarpu Yatra began in May 2010 to console the family members of those who died following the death of his father.

YS Rajasekhara Reddy died in a chopper crash on Sep 2, 2009 in Nallamalla Hills of Andhra Pradesh.
