Madani
Kollam, Sep 1: On a complaint that the arrest of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani in the 2008 Bangalore blasts case was unlawful, a Kerala court has summoned a senior Bangalore police officer probing the terror case.

Bangalore Assistant Commissioner of Police Omkaraiah has been summoned by Chief Judicial Magistrate Soundaresh.

The order came on Tuesday, Aug 31 on the complaint filed by Madani's brother, Abdul Salam that the PDP leader's arrest was not in accordance with law.

Madani was arrested on Aug 17 from his Anwarssery camp near here by a team of Karnataka police.

The ACP along with Kollam SP had already been summoned to appear before the court on Tuesday, Aug 31. While a public prosecutor appeared on behalf of the Kollam SP, ACP failed to show up.

Now, the ACP has been asked to appear in the court on Sep 13.
