US economy moving but not in required space: Obama

"The economy is still growing, but it's not growing as fast as it needs to. I've got things right now in before Congress that we should move immediately," said Obama.
After official figures showed US economic growth slowed to a pace of 1.6 percent in the second quarter raising fears the fragile economy could slip back into a recession, Obama came up with his new statement over US economy.
US president said that the economic disaster was the result of recession and claimed that they are fully focusing on the upliftment of the current economy now.
We've got to keep on pushing to grow the economy. But we've also on the medium term and the long term have to get control of our deficit," said Obama.
