Venezuela: Chopper crash kills 10 soldiers

Caracas, Aug 29: Ten Venezuelan soldiers were killed when their helicopter crashed in southwestern part of the country while taking off on an anti-drug operation on Saturday, Aug 28.

The Russian-made MI-17 helicopter crashed when the military team was searching for a group of suspected drug traffickers. One drug trafficker was captured during the operation.

"The boys died doing their duty, their patriotic duty," said Luis Motta, General Commander of the Bolivarian National Guard.
