Pak: Firing near US consulate in Peshawar

Local media reports suggest that the firing that began on Saturday, Aug 28 morning is still on.
According to local Urdu TV channel Samaa, the firing broke out at about 6:00 am (local time) after the gunmen entered the intelligence building, an office of security forces, located near the US consulate.
Military troops have surrounded the building and operations to neutralise the situation are on.
While the local media speculates if the target of the gunmen was the intelligence building or the US consulate, police has ruled out American consulate as target.
