JuD's brazen use of relief camps to fulfil 'jihad' aims should make Pak Govt shiver: Editorial

Islamabad, Aug.27 (ANI): A top USAID official recently bumped into a flood relief camp in Sindh which was supposedly being run by the banned Jamaat-ud-Daawa's (JuD) new face called Falah-e-Insaniyat, which highlights the ease with which these terror organisations are operating amid the massive humanitarian crisis.

While the Pakistan government has assured the international community that it would take action against any such 'terror' relief camps, the incident of an international official visiting a relief camp being run by a proscribed organisation raises serious questions over the country's ability to counter the growing might of these terror groups.

"For the JuD to openly and brazenly set-up relief camps that are now being visited by seemingly hapless international donors ought to send distress signals to the powers that be," an editorial in The Daily Times said.he JuD claims that it working for the people of Pakistan and has only 'charity' in its mind, however, the editorial stated that it would be no less than a ludicrous thing to do to believe the organisation, which masterminded the ghastly Mumbai terror attacks.

"It is ridiculous to assume that outfits such as the JuD have turned over a new leaf," it said.

Furthermore, the opinion piece went on to add that groups like the JuD, the front face of the dreaded Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has only one aim which is to recruit more 'jihadis' through these flood relief camps to unleash a rein of death and destruction across the country and even outside.

"These monsters have no compassion for the destitute and the affected; they only wish to reach out to them to recruit and destroy," it said. (ANI)
