School wall building collapse kills 9 in Jharkand

Ranchi, Aug 25: Eight children and one woman were killed when a school wall building collapsed due to heavy rains in Dhanbad, Jharkhand on Tuesday, Aug 24.

The police officials reported that the death toll may rise and suspect more children could be under the debris which were still being removed. The heavy rains and bad weather hindered the rescue operation, which was still going on.

"A 20-foot-high wall of Guru Govind Singh Public School situated at Bank roundabout in Dhanbad collapsed," said a police official.
