No response from Naxals to govt's offer: PC

On Wednesday, Aug 25, Chidambaram told that there had been no let up in attempts by militants to infiltrate into India. While addressing the media in New Delhi he also added that Assam rebel group, United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), will hopefully come forward for direct talks with government.
"The Jammu Kashmir is in a vicious circle of stone pelting, teargassing, firing and again stone pelting. Centre is concerned that this vicious circle has not stopped. Kashmir need a political solution," said Chidambaram on Kashmir protest issues.
Home Minister added that a new phenomenon of 'saffron terrorism' has been discovered in the country.
