Navi Mumbai: Building collapse kills 2 labourers

Navi Mumbai, Aug 25: An under-construction building collapsed here on Wednesday, Aug 25 morning killing two people and injuring at least four others.

The tragic incident took place in the wee-hours of Aug 25 morning in Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra"s Thane district.

The building fell apart at around 2 am catching the victims in their sleep, Navi Mumbai Chief Fire Officer VS Rane said.

“Two people, both believed to be labourers, have been killed in the tragedy. We are investigating the cause of the incident," he added.

The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained.

So far, police has rescued four people from the debris. They have been rushed to a hospital nearby.
