Kathmandu, Aug 24: A small passenger plane carrying 15 people crashed in Nepal's Makwanpur district in the wee hours of Tuesday, Aug 24 morning.

Noting that the Dornier plane crashed in the heavy rain, officials have said that bad weather could have caused the mishap.

Three crew members were among the 15 on board the plane that crashed into the hills outside Nepal's capital in a village about 80 kilometers south of Kathmandu.

Rescue operations are on and villagers have joined in the efforts, officials added.

As per the latest inputs, all the passengers on board the flight have died in the accident.
