Miss Mexico Navarre wins Miss Universe 2010 crown

Las Vegas, Aug 24: The Mexican beauty, Jimena Navarrete, won the Miss Universe 2010 pageant on Monday, Aug 23 night.

The 23 year old Jimena Navarrete won the crown after donning a flowing red gown and telling an audience that it's important to teach kids family values. The panel asked her whether kids should use the Internet unsupervised and she answered that the Internet was an indispensable tool of our time.

Navarrete's one-strap gown flowed behind her as she held it out like a cape. Earlier she smiled in a violet bikini as she confidently strutted across the stage.

The first runner-up was won by Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps and Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell ranked the second runner-up.
