Sensex ends 98 pts lower on global cues

The Sensex ended 98 points, led by selling in metal, capital goods, technology, auto, realty and oil marketing
Cairn India, Bharti Airtel, SBI, HDFC Bank, Reliance Communications, HUL, ITC and Ranbaxy Labs were the only gainers,
The BSE Sensex closed at 18,311.59, down 97.76 points and the NSE Nifty fell 38.40 points. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices declined 0.7pc each.
The BSE Realty was the biggest loser among sectoral indices, DLF and Unitech were down 2.5-3pc.

Nifty trades below 5500 mark, Unitech, GAIL loss
Markets witness loss in trade and the nifty Nifty slipped below 5500 on heavy selling in realty and metal stocks. The European markets also opened in red with loss of 0.5-1 percent.
Bharti Airtel, Cairn India, TCS, Reliance Communications and Sun Pharma were witnessing buying interest.
The Sterlite Industries, Hindalco, Unitech, GAIL and Idea Cellular were facing loss.
At 2.20 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,303.76 down 105.59 points and NSE Nifty was 5502.20 down 41.30 points.
The active in trading were Cairn India, SBI, ICICI Bank and Reliance.
The top gainers were Cairn India up 3.70 percent, Bharati Airtel up 1.73 percent, Suzlon Energy up 1.59 percent and Reliance Comm up 1.04 perecent.
The top losers were Hindalco down 4.27 percent, Sterlite Ind down 4.13 percent, Idea Cellular down 3.19 percent and Unitech down 2.85 percent.

Markets trade on red note, Bharti, Cairn gain
Markets were trading on losses. The Nifty extended losses a bit and was trading near to 5500 level.
Bharti, Cairn, TCS, Reliance Communications, SBI, NTPC, Siemens and Sun Pharma were witnessing buying interest.
Oil & gas exploration, realty, private financial, capital goods, metal, auto and cement companies' shares along with Infosys were witnessing selling pressure
At 12.30 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,363.26 down 46.09 points and NSE Nifty was 5519.35 down 24.15 points.
The active in trading were BPCL, Cairn India, ICICI Bank and Reliance.
The top gainers were Cairn India up 3.62 percent, Bharati Airtel up 1.76 percent, Reliance Comm up 1.40 precent and TCS up 0.96 percent.
The top losers were Hindalco down 3.16 percent, Sterlite Ind down 3.00 percent, Unitech down 2.21 percent and GAIL down 2.07 percent.

Sensex starts trading on flat note
Sensex started trading in flat note and the Asian markets were mixed in trade.
NTPC, M&M, BPCL, Siemens, HCL Tech, Cipla and ONGC were witnessing buying interest.
Infosys, Idea Cellular, Hindalco, TCS, Wipro, DLF, Unitech and Tata Motors were witnessing selling pressure.
At 9.35 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18430.33 up 4.21 points and NSE Nifty was 5540.90 down 2.10 points.
The active in trading were BPCL, Cairn India, Reliance and ICICI Bank.
The top gainers were Cairn India up 2.11 percent, Bharati Airtel up 1.43 percent, BPCL up 1.42 precent, and ITC up 0.82 percent.
The top losers were Hindalco down 1.37 percent, Infosys down 1.29 percent, Idea Cellular down 1.06 percent and Ranbaxy Labs down 0.99 percent.
