TCS expands in China, sets up fifth Centre

The fifth centre is situated in Shenzen, the company said in a statement on Monday, Aug 22.
The Tata group company, which entered China in 2002, already has centres in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Tianjin.
The new Shenzen centre will be the preferred offshore delivery center for TCS China in delivering projects to APAC (Asia Pacific) markets and will also focus on providing local service to customers in the region, the statement said.
With the new centre in Shenzen, TCS' total employees in China goes up to 2,000. 92 per cent of the company's work force in the communist nation are Chinese citizens (locals), a company spokesperson informed.
