2 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists surrender in Kashmir

Jammu, Aug 23: Two top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants surrendered in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, Aug 22.

Police officials told that Ghulam Mohammad Mangoo, LeT's Doda district commander, and his companion Abu Maaz surrendered before Jammu Zone Inspector General of Police Ashok Gupta in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police also told that these militants were involved in several terror-related activities.

"They were active in Doda district since 1998. Their surrender was seen as a result of relentless pressure on militants by security forces," said police spokesman.

Militants surrendered with one AK-47 rifle and a large quantity of ammunition.
