Development has now become the desire for the people: Nitish Kumar
New Delhi, Aug 21 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Saturday that development is the key agenda in every state politics and he is very optimistic about it.
Speaking at a seminar on 'The Bihar of My Dreams' here on Saturday, Nitish chose to highlight the rapid strides his State has made under his administration in the realm of socio-economic growth.
"Development has now become the desire for the people. Even development has become the agenda for the politics in the state. I would not say that everything is in place...it is just the start. I can even see the mood of the people, their desire, and can say that we are really optimistic about everything," said Kumar.
"We would not take steps backwards; we will work according to our power, will and efforts, and after that there is nothing a man can't do. You should only have good intentions and the desire, and accordingly make efforts," he added.
Taking a dig at his rival Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Bihar Chief Minister: "Lalu was there for the past 15 years...who stopped him from doing work in the state? The man who could not do anything in 15 years, what he will do in the future?
There is no surety. Since the day Lalu put himself forward for Chief Minister (candidature) in the coming election, we are not worried." (ANI)
