Helsinki, Aug 20: Nokia, Finland based mobile phone maker, announced that it will acquire mobile analytics services firm Motally Inc.

Nokia announced the acquire on Friday, Aug 20, which will help in boosting Nokia's mobile software offerings to developers and publishers. The officials didn't reveal the financial details but told that the deal will complete in the third quarter of 2010.

"Motally's mobile analytics service offers in-application tracking and reporting, and is designed to enable developers and publishers to optimise the development of their mobile applications," said Nokia in a statement.

Nokia officials told that the acquisition will help them to deliver application and mobile web browsing analytics to Ovi's global eco-system of developers and publishers.

Earlier in Apr 2010, Nokia acquired another small firm MetaCarta Inc, which was specialised in geographic intelligence solutions.
