Home Ministry invites application for posts of six NDMA members
New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): The Home Ministry has invited applications for posts of six members, including Vice-Chairperson in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), which are falling vacant by the end of September or early October this year.
The Ministry has invited applications for these posts by September 5 for which details have been provided in its website (http://mha.nic.in).
NDMA is a statutory body established under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 for laying down policies, plans and guidelines for disaster management for ensuring timely and effective response to disasters arising from natural and manmade causes.
It has nine members including a Vice-Chairperson.
The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, is the ex-officio Chairperson of the NDMA. (ANI)
