Sonia Gandhi to address CPP meet today

New Delhi, Aug 19 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi will address a meeting of Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) here today.

During the meeting, Gandhi is expected to speak on the attempts of the government to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir, measures to check rise in food prices, the party's preparations for the assembly polls in Bihar and relief efforts in cloudburst hit Leh.

This will be the first meeting of CPP since the monsoon session of Parliament began on July 26.

On Monday, a meeting of Congress Working Committee (CWC) finalised the schedule for the party chief's election.

Gandhi is all set to be re-elected as the Congress President on September 17. (ANI)
