LG backs Microsoft's Windows Phone 7

Seoul, Aug 18: The South Korean electronics giant LG supported the upcoming Microsoft's mobile, Windows Phone 7.

An LG official told the media that Windows Phone 7 will outperform the other two rival smartphone operating systems. Reporters told that the LG official aimed on the Google's Android and Apple iOs.

On Tuesday, Aug 17, Microsoft announced that it will provide Xbox 360 games on Windows Phone 7. The new game features will allow the users to check out new games, keep track of scores, send messages to fellow players and interact with their animated game, World Avatar, a cartoon character customized to look like the user.

The launch of Windows Phone 7 operating system will create high competition in smartphone market. Microsoft's goal is to create a compelling and predictable user experience by redesigning the user interface, disallowing partners to modify or replace it and integrating the operating system with other services.
