India-born plant taxonomist receives ASPT award

Gandhi, had been submitted one documentary, where he explained the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature and curating the International Plant Name Index data in one documentation.
He gave nomenclatural advice to taxonomists to keep classical expertise in the practice of taxonomy alive.
Gandhi, who was a faculty of The National College in Bangalore, currently serves as the Nomenclature Editor for the Flora North America Project.
He is also an editorial committee member of several national and international botanical journals.
The American Society of Plant Taxonomists promotes research and teaching of taxonomy, systematic, and phylogeny of vascular and non vascular plants.
