Warrant against Madani will expire on Aug 17

Kollam, Aug 17: Bangalore Police team reached the Magistrate Court near the house of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani, accused in 2008 Bangalore blasts case.

Different media reported that Madani may surrender or the police team will arrest him as the deadline for execution of the warrant issued by a Bangalore court is to expire by Tuesday, Aug 17.

PDP supporters told that Madani will surrender before the court on Tuesday, Aug 17, but only after ensuring that the magistrate, who was on leave, is present. They also told that Madani's health was worsened and he will not be able to travel to Bangalore.

On Monday, Aug 16, Bangalore City Police Commissioner Alok Kumar met with Kerala Southern Range IG Hemachandran and discussed the situations. There is massive mobilisation of police at Anwarsheri in Kollam district and around Madani's residence.
