Mob attacks police vehicle at Palhalan in J-K

Srinagar, Aug.17 (ANI): A police vehicle, carrying personnel of JKAP 13th Battalian at Palhalan area of Pattan, came under fierce attack by a mob on Tuesday morning.

The large mob surrounded the vehicle and attacked it fiercely from all directions and later also blocked the National Highway.

The personnel who were on way from Potkha Sopore to Srinagar fired some shots in self-defence in which three persons were injured, an official statement said.

Their condition is reported to be stable.

Meanwhile, stray stone pelting has also been reported from Khanabal, Anantnag and at Pulwama. (ANI)
