Create safe password with 12 characters & phrase

New York, 17: Researchers in United States found that many people's passwords can be discovered through the sheer computing power of the latest processors.

The research team working at the Georgia Tech Research Institute found that graphics cards are able to break passwords through force, by trying many different words and combination in order to find the correct password.

The research team suggested people to make passwords of at least 12 characters or use a memorable phrase rather than relying on a single word. Also users can make password having numbers and capital letters in order to increase security.

A poll has shown many internet users create insecure passwords, often from information about themselves which they also publish on social networking sites, such as their date of birth and home town. Also people use the same passwords for multiple accounts which increases the risk of cracking by hackers.
