Student commits suicide in lecturer's house

Bangalore, Aug 16: A engineering student, Adithya Prasad, from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, who was in love with his lecturer, hanged himself in her house at Rajarajeshwarinagar on Sunday, Aug 15.

According to the police, Adithya Prasad was studying final year BE and was in love with his lecturer, who is six years older than him.

On Saturday, Aug 14, he called her several times to his room. When she did not respond, he threatened to commit suicide.

Later he landed at the lecturer's house where he hanged himself. When the lecturer went to her room in the evening, found Adithya dead.

Police say he committed suicide anywhere between 4 pm and 5 pm. Adithya's parents were on the way from Jharkhand.

However, the lecturer and her family were reluctant to lodge a complaint, the police added.
