Ram Sene activists attack pub in Mysore

Bangalore, Aug 16: After attack at a pub in Mangalore on Jan 24, 2009, now the Sri Rama Sene (SRS) activists targeted a Mysore pub on Saturday, Aug 14, though the pub had a licence from the police to remain open till midnight.

According to Basavaraj Malagatti, deputy commissioner of police, Mysore, nearly 10 member gang comprising SRS activists attacked Hotel Adi Manor, a pub-cum-restaurant in Lashkar area of Mysore, where about 100 customers, including a few foreigners, were enjoying the Saturday night.

Some among the customers were dancing to music when the SRS activists attacked at 11:45pm. SRS activists damaged the furniture and also attacked the pub employees, but all the customers escaped.

Till now four SRS activists are arrested, who have been identified as Sanjay, M Raja, Somashekhar and Raju, all Mysore residents.

However, Pramod Muthalik, SRS founder said he came to know about the incident only on Sunday, Aug 15 evening and tried to get information about what had happened in Mysore.
