Rahul Gandhi visits Leh victims

Leh, Aug 16: The Congress general secretary, Rahul Gandhi visited Leh and promised the victims of cloudburst to help them in all the possible way and praised the security forces for their massive effort.

Rahul also took stock of the situation in the worst-affected Choglamsar where numerous houses were buried under the slush following the cloudburst on Aug 5 night.

"The prime minister Manmohan Singh is coming tomorrow. Tell him about the shortcomings freely. Don't be afraid," Rahul Gandhi told to the victims who have taken shelter at a relief camp.

Rahul also said that he will convey their difficulties to the PM and will do everything possible to provide them all necessary help.

The Congress general secretary also stopped at the ITBP campus and later visited a relief camp run by the Border Roads Organisation.
