London, Aug 16 (ANI): A pub in Glasgow has seen an increase in its earnings after it introduced art classes with naked models on Tuesday nights.
The event, which is being hosted by the Flying Duck, has become such a hit that organisers are struggling to fit in all those who want to have a go at becoming artists.
And they even have a waiting list of more than 100 models who have volunteered to strip off for the classes.
"On the first night there were eight of us, at the second there were 15 - and now it is up to more than 70," the Sun quoted artist Joanna Susskind, who runs the event - called All the Young Nudes - as saying.
"We are amazed, but delighted by just how popular it has become - although we do sometimes struggle to find space," she said.
She said artists paid 4 pounds for a two-hour sketching session, which features two or three models, a DJ plus plenty to eat and drink.
She also revealed the atmosphere was "laid-back" although door-minders were needed to keep out those more interested in sneaking a peek than penning a sketch.
"There have been times when guys have not been drawing and have just been standing there holding a beer. They are really obvious because everyone else is really caught up in their sketching," she said.
Bar boss Del McCann, 30, is delighted with the whole arrangement.
"The classes are almost as well attended as some of the club nights that we put on," he said.
"You see some unusual sights when you work behind a bar, but having naked models around took a bit of getting used to. Now we are all completely used to it.
"I can't think of any other pub that offers anything quite like this," he added. (ANI)
