banglore blasts
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 16: Bangalore City Police Commissioner Alok Kumar arrived in Kerala to discuss the arrest of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani.

Alok Kumar along with Deputy Commissioner, Omkarayya, arrived at Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, Aug 16. Alok Kumar will hold talks with Kerala Director General of Police (DGP) Jacob Punnose on the issue.

On Sunday, Aug 15 Madani, accused in Bangalore blasts case, told that he would surrender before the nearest court in the coming days as he was keen to avoid law and order problems that his arrest could trigger. He also told that his health condition was poor and that his arrest in such a state could cause severe difficulties to him.

Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan told the media that Karnataka police has to decide when to arrest Madani. He also told that the situation in Kollam district was under control.

"The arrest warrant is with Karnataka police and not in the hands of Kerala police. Kerala police will extend all help for them to execute it," said Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
