Kiwi Skeptics insist the world isn't ending anytime soon
Wellington, Aug 15 (ANI): There's been debate going on ever since it was announced that an unknown planet will hit the Earth and wipe out life, but NZ sceptics don't agree.
"This idea that a large, unknown planet is going to swing by and take out Earth in just a couple of years' time ... there are a lot of people who genuinely believe this is going to happen," The New Zealand Herald quoted NZ Skeptics chairwoman Vicki Hyde, as saying.
"There's certainly no scientific evidence to show this," she added.
Hyde said she knew people who planned to euthanize their pets because they believed the world was coming to an end.
"The problem is ignorance has its consequences," she said.
