Maoists menace Bihar speaker

Maoists asked Udai Narain Choudhary not to enter Gaya district's Imamganj constituency for campaigning ahead of the forthcoming elections. They also warned him not to organise programmes for distribution of the Indira Awas Yojna funds.
Police officials reported that Maoists held a jan-adalat at a dense forest in Gaya district. The threat came after Maoists released Lakhan Lal Vermn who was abducted on Thursday, Aug 12 from Maigra bazaar.
However, opposition leaders in Bihar accused that Choudhary has good relations with Maoists, who have been helping him in the campaigning.
