K'taka police to arrest Madani after Prez's visit

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 14: Kerala government told that Karnataka Police team will arrest PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani after the ongoing visit of President Pratibha Patil in the state.

Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan told on Friday, Aug 13 that the arrest will be executed at an appropriate time. He also told that the Karnataka government asked for help of the state for arresting Madani.

On Tuesday, Aug 12, a team of Karnataka police arrived in Kerala to arrest Madani, an accused in the Bangalore serial bomb blasts case. But the team is camping in Kerala for the past four days awaiting the Kerala police"s nod to arrest.

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan also told the media that there was no misunderstanding between two governments. A meeting of top police officials in the state would be held soon and the DGP had been given necessary instructions to help the Karnataka police to carry out the arrest.
