Tharoor, Sunanda to tie knot on Aug 22

New Delhi, Aug 13: After several rumors and much controversies, finally, Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar officially announced that they are going to tie the knot on Aug 22.

According to CNN-IBN, the marriage ceremony will be held at his 200-year-old ancestral home in Ernakulam District of Kerala.

A reception party will also be organized in New Delhi.

However, various news havd been coming for several months about the couple tying the knot. Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda were spotted in Ajmer together recently.

Sunanda Pushkar got media"s attention when her name came up as owner of IPL Kochi team.

Sunanda is part of a consortium Rendezvous Sports Pvt. Ltd. which owns 25 percent of the Indian IPL Kochi team. Out of this 18 percent belongs to her.

Tharoor had to quit as Minister of State for External Affairs after it was revealed that Sunanda Pushkar had links to the Kochi IPL franchise.
