Application to stream movies straight to mobiles

California, Aug 13: Netflix plans to launch an Andriod application which enables the users to stream TV shows and movies straight to their mobile phones.

Netflix, the company which offers online flat rate DVD and Blu-ray Disc rental-by-mail and video streaming in the United States, is also planning a software meant for the Apple iPhone.

The android application will allow the users to stream videos over both WiFi and 3G. The users will be able to access movies where there is no 3G data coverage.

Market analysts reported that Netflix aims to conquering the mobile market and grab a share of the nascent web streaming market.
