Kashmir: Three militants killed in encounter

Srinagar, Aug 12: Three militants were killed in a gunbattle broke out in the forest of Bandipora district of north Kashmir, 75 kms from Srinagar on Aug 12.

The encounter took place in the forest area of Bandipora, when the militants opened fire in a search party of the security forces, a defence spokesman said.

According to the sources the three militants killed in the gunbattle are yet to be identified and the gunbattle was still going on when reports came in.
