No one should support Maoists: Chidambaram

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with the Left Front had corned the government over the Union Railway Minister's controversial rally and her statement condemning the way a Maoist leader, Azad, was killed.
"Will the government let such people go scot-free if he or she is a minister or holds a powerful position?" the Opposition had questioned in the Rajya Sabha.
In response to this, the Home Minister, P Chidambaram said, "To a question that is framed in such a general manner, the answer can also be in a general manner. No-one should support the CPI (Maoist) and the government would certainly not encourage anyone to support the CPI (Maoist)."
