Florida: Indian techie dies in road accident
Amitabh Das, 31-year-old was a graduate from College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar, came to the US in 2001 as an Infosys employee and later switched to Techni Source Company.
The deceased is survived by father Pratap Kishore, mother Iva Rani and brother Debasis Das, all of whom reside in Orissa.
"A team of volunteers and Amitabh's friends Sandeep, Rajesh and Abishek are helping with the situation. Amitabh's family from Orissa requested us to help with the proceedings," said Prasad Thotakura, general secretary of the Indian American Friendship Council (IAFC)
He spoke to Houston officials and the organisation said that it was arranging to send the body to his parents by end of this week.
"We express our deepest condolences to the Amitabh's family," he added.
