10 TTP, Haqqani network linked terrorists arrested in Pak Punjab
Lahore, Aug 12(ANI): Pakistan police and intelligence agencies have arrested 10 terrorists, who have alleged links with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Haqqani network, in Punjab province.
The arrested terrorists include TTP southern Punjab commander Muhammad Saeed alias Talha and Al-Asr Trust activist Muhammad Afzal.
According to the Daily Times, during initial interrogation the terrorists disclosed that they had received instructions from TTP to attack the Prime Minister's House, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) office in Multan and various other sensitive places.
With help from the revelations made by both the men, the officials then arrested eight other terrorists.
The other suspects have confessed to their involvement in murders and robberies in the province.
They also told investigators that they used the money collected from robberies to buy arms and explosives. (ANI)
