Shah's bail plea hearing adjourned till Aug 17

Ahmedabad, Aug 11: The special CBI court on Wednesday, Aug 11 postponed former Gujarat Minister Amit Shah's hearing on the bail plea till Aug 17.

During the hearing on Aug 11, Shah's lawyer Mitesh Amin requested adjournment in the matter saying that their senior counsel Ram Jethmalani was unable to be present.

Amin informed that the adjournment won't raise any objection as he had informed CBI about the matter in advance.

However, Mukul Sinha, lawyer of Sohrabuddin's brother Rubabuddin, who wants to become a party in the case and was opposing the bail of Shah, raised a few objections.

Negating all the charges against him as false and fabricated, Amit Shah said that the manner in which CBI carried the investigation in the case, substantiated his apprehension that is was "merely a political game plan of the Central Government".

Shah, who was arrested for Sohrabuddin's fake encounter case, also stated that his arrest was part of a "well-designed attempt."
