Motorola to launch Droid 2 on Aug 12?

Washington, Aug 6: Motorola plans to launch the new version of Droid X smartphones on Aug 12, 2010.

The new version, Droid 2, is likely to arrive on Verizon stores in United States. The officials reported that the new model will be an internal Verizon slide.

Smart phone analysts reported that the Droid 2 will has a 3.7-inch screen and will run Android 2.1 with MotoBlur. The processor would be an OMAP 750Mhz one.

Droid 2 is believed to sport a 5 megapixel camera and 8GB of internal storage with memory expansion support. It will also feature HD video recording.

However, details about the phone's Indian availability and pricing are not out yet.
