Iranian President escapes close bomb attack
Iran, Aug 4: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad escaped a bomb attack on his convoy in Iran on Wednesday, Aug 4.
According the sources, an attacker had thrown a bomb at Ahmadinejad's convoy before being detained, though some people had been wounded in the attack.
The bomb had hit a car carrying journalists and presidential staff, said the sources.
Ahmadinejad appeared on live Iranian television at a sports stadium in the western city of Hamadan.
He was apparently well and made no mention of any attack.
