Delhi CM denies diversion of SC/ST funds for CWG

New Delhi, Aug 3: Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit denied allegations of diversion of SC/ST funds for the Commonwealth Games project.

A recent query by a Right to Information activist showed that the Delhi government allegedly diverted Rs 744 crore from Special Component Plan for SC/ST to Games projects.

On Tuesday, Aug 3 the allegations of diversion of fund rocked the Rajya Sabha leading to adjournment in morning when BSP MPs disrupted proceedings.

"There has not been any diversion of funds from SC/ST Welfare Schemes," said Sheila Dikshit.

"Not a single percentage of funds have been diverted for Games related projects. All the funds allocated are being spent on the welfare of SC/ST". said Raj Kumar Chouhan, Delhi Minister.
