Cash for votes expose: Cong jumps to action
New Delhi, Aug 3: Jumping to action quickly the Congress has issued showcause notice to the Jharkhand MLAs, who were caught on camera in a media expose selling their votes.
A sting operation carried out by the leading private TV new channel, CNN-IBN, and investigative portal, Cobrapost, exposed Jharkhand MLAs who were willing to take as little as Rs 50 lakh to sell their votes in Rajya Sabha polls.
Hours after the sting operation was aired, All India Congress Committee member Keshav Rao, who is also in-charge of Jharkhand, has written letters to MLAs, Rajesh Ranjan, Sawan Lakda and Yogendra Sao, CNN-IBN reported on Monday, Aug 3.
