Telangana polls: KCR's nephew breaks YSR's record
Hyderabad, Jul 30: While the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is thrashing Congress in Telangana by-polls, the nephew of TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, T Harish Rao, has broken a record held by late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy with his impressive victory in Siddipet assembly seat.
The TRS leader retained his seat in Siddipet with a vote margin of 95,858 votes, which breaks the record of former CM YSR.
YS Rajasekhara Reddy, a Congress leader, set the record in 2009 when he was re-elected from Pulivendula constituency in Kadapa district with a margin of 68,681 votes while Harish Rao had back then came second in terms of victory margin with 64,677 votes.

As per the inputs that have come in so far, TRS is leading in as many as 11 constituencies out of the 12 assembly seats while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has managed to hold on to the one leftover constituency.
