Hyderabad, Jul 30: In the single constituency, where the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) was not leading, Congress suffered a drubbing in the hands of Bharaitya Janata Party (BJP) as its state president D Srinivas failed to claim his home turf.
Srinivas lost Nizamabad urban constituency by a margin of 12,600 votes to BJP's Y Lakshminarayana. Srinivas had earlier express confidence that he will win the constituency with the support of sizeable minority vote bank.
