Hero Honda launches Rs 17-lakh super bike in India

New Delhi, Jul 30: Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda Friday launched its new super bike, VFR1200F, at ex-showroom price of Rs 17.5 lakh in Delhi, on Friday, Jul 30.

According to Honda, the idea was to create a futuristic sport motorcycle for the sheer joy of riding, custom tailored for experienced hands who ride hard, ride long, ride far and ride often.

Honda VFR1200F, has a unique cylinder layout, with the rear cylinders located inward on the center of the crankshaft. The rear cylinder head is compact thus making the seating position narrower.

This feature will reduce fuel consumption by halting fuel supply to specific cylinders under low load conditions, such as when running at a constant speed on a highway.

The new bike from the Honda's stable is powered by a 1237 cc V4 engine.
