Sohrabuddin case: CBI summons former Gujarat DGP
Ahmedabad, Jul 29: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued a summon to former Gujarat DGP P C Pandey in connection with the 2005 fake encounter case of Sohrabuddin Sheikh.
Pandey, who was serving as the DGP of Gujarat when the state CID was investigating the fake encounter case, has been asked to appear before the CBI on Aug 11.
The announcement in this regard came from the CBI officials on Wednesday, Jul 28 in the wake of the allegations that police officers tried to influence investigation.
Other IPS officers who are already under the CBI radar include GC Raigar, OP Mathur and Abhay Chudasama.
BJP leader and the former Gujarat Home Minister, Amit Shah was questioned by the sleuths in inside the Sabarmati jail on Wednesday, Jul 28.
