Cameron arrives in New Delhi, meets Prez Patil
Cameron met President Pratibha Patil with whom he is learnt to have discussed a slew of issues pertaining to the bilateral ties such as trade, counter-terrorism and cultural ties.
The 43-year-old youngest British PM is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh on Jul 29 evening when the leaders are expected to dwell on his topics further.
After bolstering ties through defence co-operation, India and Britain will also sign a first of its kind cultural agreement after the delegation-level talks.
As per reports, the pact will entail "sharing of information, organizing events in each other's countries, exchange of scholars and organizing seminars, exhibitions and performing events".
During his visit to Bangalore, Cameron created quiet an image for himself by talking about everything from Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan to the serious issue of terrorism.
His statement that Pakistan was exporting terror has sparked off a verbal war between Islamabad and London ahead of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari's visit to the UK next week.
