Pak must stop sponsoring terrorism: India
New Delhi, Jul 28: Reacting to the information published by WikiLeaks, about the links between Pakistani spy agency and the Afghan Taliban, India said that Islamabad must stop sponsorship of terrorism, as an instrument of policy.
External affairs ministry spokesperson, Vishnu Prakash said, "We have seen media reports about classified information, supposedly from US government sources, put out in public domain, on support to terrorism by ISI-Pakistan"s military intelligence agency."
"The utilization of territory under Pakistan"s control to provide sanctuaries for recruiting and sustaining terrorist groups, and to direct terrorist activity against neighbors, must stop if our region is to attain its full potential for peaceful development," Prakash added.
On Monday, Jul 26, media outlets in the US, Britain and Germany had released information provided by WikiLeaks, an online portal, which related to the US" war against terror in Afghanistan.
It also provided information related to the ISI directing attacks of the Taliban, not just on Indian targets in Afghanistan, but also on coalition soldiers.
