Watch out FB, Google mulls new networking site
New York, Jul 28: Watch out Facebook, Google Inc is reportedly planning a another social networking offering.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the internet giant has held talks with gaming companies as it looks to develop a new service to compete with social networking website Facebook.
Quoting people familiar with the development, WSJ reported on Tuesday, Jul 27 that Google met with the makers of online games including Playdom Inc, Electronic Arts Inc's Playfish and Zynga Game Network Inc.
No further details on the when the new site will take birth were available.
It is also unclear as to why Google was apparently looking to set up another social networking site while it already owns and operates Orkut.
